New Approaches is an annual global policy and research symposium on tobacco control and harm reduction held during United Nations General Assembly and Climate week in New York City. The forum focuses on advancing dialogue around innovative policies and technologies that reduce global tobacco dependence and prevent deaths from combustible tobacco. The conference explores how modern nicotine solutions, improved pharmaceutical nicotine replacement therapies (NRTs), and tobacco-free nicotine products, coupled with tobacco cessation strategies can improve health outcomes and support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Sessions cover topics including policy, regulation, science, innovation, investment, sustainability, and more.

New Approaches is open to professionals from both public and private sectors, including but not limited to researchers, policymakers, government representatives, public health and medical experts, academic institutions, financial inst., industry, manufacturers, advocates, media, and individuals interested in tobacco control, harm reduction, and public health.
